I began working in watercolor in 1990.  As an avid bird-watcher and SCUBA diver, this medium really helped to capture the fascinating detail of the "so oft' overlooked" in our natural world.

Pastels, on the other hand, are pure pigment.  You might most liken them to "chalk".  This particular medium lends itself most beautifully to what I call "skyscapes" and landscapes.  They have an almost ethereal quality to them....

Cartoons and caricatures are truly "fun" to design.  It's all about capturing the "spirit" of a personality.  I've done such work for both childrens's books as well as personalized note cards.

Business designs and logos, on the other hand, need to reflect a number of "qualities" in the most direct and recognizable way possible.  I prefer to keep things simple and eye-catching.

I have created murals for both indoor as well as outdoor applications.  Whether it's in/or your home, or at your place of business, a wall-mural can literally transform a space with "taking up" any space!  I do all of my work with BEHR paints,  as I've discovered them to be the brightest, most durable and "scrubbable" paint product around!

The challenge in capturing the unique personality of a cherished pet,  be it a dog, cat, horse, bird....you name it, is one I take on with great care and consideration.  These are members of your family, and I see my roll as that of keeping their "voice" alive far beyond their all-too-brief time here with us.  I work from photographs for the most part, along with a brief interview if at all possible.

A "commission" is simply an artwork created under the direction of the client.  Whether it's a piece of fine art, a business design, pet portrait or caricature.  I'll work with you to enable your creative vision to come to light.  It's a fun process, and more "affordable" then you might think.  Please contact me and "let's talk possibilities"!
